Float Copper Bookend Set
Float copper locally sourced from the Lake Superior Copper District in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan. Glaciers carved through copper-rich bedrock and transported chunks of them across the region. One piece was cut into a set of two bookends and portions have been polished to expose the copper color against the natural oxidized surface. Each piece has a clear lacquer coating to protect the finish and felt pads on the bottom.
