Float copper locally sourced from the Lake Superior Copper District in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan. Glaciers carved through copper-rich bedrock and transported chunks of them across the region. Portions of these pieces have been polished to expose the copper color against the natural oxidized surface. Has a clear lacquer coating to protect the finish.
