Float copper locally sourced from the Lake Superior Copper District in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan. Glaciers carved through copper-rich bedrock and transported chunks of them across the region. This piece is in the naturally formed shape and portions have been polished to expose the copper color against the natural oxidized surface. Has a clear lacquer coating to protect the finish.
