Datolite - Isle Royale Mine
Datolite locally sourced from the Isle Royale Mine in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan.
Datolite is a rare crystalline mineral found as nodules shaped like cauliflower within native copper deposits in the Copper Country. White is the most common color of datolite, but it can also contain pink, mauve, red, orange, yellow, green, brown, gray, and black. Specks of copper and silver can appear within datolite as well.
